Heavyweight Employers Converge on Docklands

Last week saw the opening of a new branch of fine food market Donnybrook Fair, on Gallery Quay in the Grand Canal Dock. This is the fifth store the chain have opened, following on from sites in Stillorgan, Baggot Street and the flagship store on Morehampton Road.

The new Donnybrook Fair will be off to a hot start at lunchtimes given that the store is around the corner from the new Facebook headquarters in 4 Grand Canal Square, by the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

Donnybrook Fair, which opened its doors on Wednesday 13 November, created 20 new jobs. Facebook currently has 70 vacancies (the new offices will support a workforce of 1000 people) and on the other side of the Liffey, Yahoo! are preparing to move their Dublin operations into three floors of the Point Village.
