Her newly released book, “My Anxiety Tool-box: A Book for Kids and Their Grown-Ups,” is the culmination of her extensive experience in providing one-on-one sessions aimed at managing anxiety.

Written by Nicola, this kid’s book has been a beacon of hope for families seeking support in coping with anxiety.

The book, now in its third print run, has received widespread acclaim for its practical strategies and user-friendly approach.

“My Anxiety Tool-box” is specifically designed to empower children facing anxiety, offering them essential tools for coping with overwhelming emotions. The children are then encouraged to share these new skills with the rest of their family through activities in a fun, inclusive way.

This child-friendly book features illustrations by a talented 14-year-old Dublin Student Abbie, and addresses the surge in anxiety cases among children, particularly exacerbated by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and digital connectivity.

Nicola Shannon commented: “With the increased demand for assistance in managing children’s anxiety, I recognised the urgent need to provide accessible resources. ‘My Anxiety Tool-box’ is a culmination of my years of experience and a response to the growing need for support in today’s challenging times.”

The book has resonated deeply with families, providing invaluable guidance for both children and their parents. Nicola Shannon hopes that “My Anxiety Tool-box” will serve as a valuable complement to the in-person wellness sessions and school workshops offered at Wellness Ur Way, facilitating the integration of essential skills learned during sessions into daily life.

In addition to the book, Nicola Shannon and her business partner Dr Fiona Macken at Wellness Ur Way offer a range of wellness services aimed at supporting individuals during stressful and anxious times. Their expertise includes mindfulness-based stress reduction, online meditation classes, connected kids tutoring, Reiki, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practices.

“My Anxiety Tool-box” is available for purchase on the Wellness Ur Way website (wellnessurway.com) and is now stocked in Books On The Green Sandymount.
