Head up to Dunsink Observatory tonight for some readings, discussions and live music as part of the Bloomsday festival. The reason for the location is due to the fact the observatory was the location to where Irelands clocks were set throughout the 18th and 20th century and Joyce’s reference to the fact in Ulysses i.e. ‘Dunsink time’. The event kicks off at 7:30 pm and is held in the Meridian Room of the Observatory
The event is free to attend, though members of the public should register in advance: https://payments.dias.ie/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=44&products_id=496
