It’s time for the 25th annual All-Ireland Credit Union Schools Quiz!
The Irish League of Credit Unions is running its nationwide competition again, and is looking for children under 13 to take part. This year’s theme is: Let’s hear you roar!
25,000 schoolchildren from across the country enter the Schools Quiz every year. Following local and regional heats, 100 teams will take part in the National Final in April 2016 in the RDS. Hosted by Quiz Master Marty Whelan, the competition is divided up into two parts: Competition A is for under 11s and Competition B for 11 to 13 year-olds.
President of the ILCU Brian McCrory said: “We are absolutely delighted to launch our 25th Annual Credit Union Schools Quiz. For the past 24 years, the quiz has been hugely popular throughout the country and we expect this year to be no exception. We look forward to seeing our young qualifiers in the RDS next April, for what promises to be an exciting final and we wish everyone who takes part in the local and regional qualifiers the very best of luck.”
There will be plenty of great prizes given out to winners on all levels! Local winners will go through to the Regional Final, winning a prize from their local Credit Union. Both the winners and runners-up in the Regional Finals will receive prizes, as well as cheques for their respective schools. The winners and runners-up of the National Final will be awarded a silver salver, as well as winning a substantial cheque for their schools and an individual certificate marking their achievement.
