Happenings will be showing Disney Pixar film Up this weekend on Sandymount Green!
The group runs showings of films and other events in the green spaces of Dublin, Limerick and Cork throughout the summer – or at least whenever the country is likely to see some decent weather! They have a “leave no trace” policy, with audiences taking care of their own waste. Audiences are encouraged to wrap up warm and bring rugs and blankets to their family-friendly, alcohol-free events.
Since they are dependent on Ireland’s unpredictable weather, they often organise their shows with only 48 hours’ notice. To keep up to date with their events, you can sign up to the mailing list on the Happenings website.
Movie night on the Green, which is supported by Dublin City Council and Sandymount Tidy Towns, will as dusk begins to fall at 7pm on Saturday. Tickets will be available on the gate, and cost €5 per person, or €15 for a family ticket, with under 6s going free.
