Friends of Green Spaces are inviting you to plant a rose in the South East Area this Wednesday and Thursday.
This sale is the culmination of the Plant a Rose project, celebrating Friends of Green Spaces having reached 30 groups in the South East Area. Friends of Green Spaces encourages volunteers to brighten up their local communities by “greening” the area, whether by adding window boxes or other floral displays.
Each rose plant costs €3, with a limit of two plants per person while stocks last. The sale will be taking place from 9am to 9pm tomorrow and Thursday in the Carmelite Community Centre on Aungier Street.
For more information, or if you are interested in Friends of Green Spaces, contact the Community Development Section, South East Area Office, Dublin City Council on (01) 222 2243 or by sending an email to southeast@dublincity.ie.
