Dublin City Libraries are taking part in this month’s Children’s Book Festival, with a variety of storytelling events across the city.
Pearse Street Library will be playing host to Púca Puppets and their show The Mice and the Elephants today at 10.30am and 12pm. This animal fable from the ancient Indian Panchatantra collection of stories will be acted out through the use of puppets, masks, drawing and paper sets.
Púca Puppets will the bringing The Mice and The Elephants to Ballyfermot, Ballymun and Cabra Libraries over the 4th, 5th and 6th of November in partnership with the Children’s Art in Libraries Programme, as they mark the birth of two baby elephants in Dublin Zoo.
The show is aimed at children aged between three and five, and while admission is free, booking is advised.
