What’s on tonight!!
• The Bentlyboys perform a free showcase in the Hampton hotel in Donnybrook. They specialise in up-tempo music capable of everything from rock/pop classics, funk grooves, swing and soul, and current dance hits. So if you have a wedding to plan, it might not be a bad idea to check these guys out. Showcase starts at 7.30pm.
Thursday 20th
• Kiely’s of Donnybrook have Angel Hannigan playing. Gig starts at 9.30pm
Saturday 1st March
• Sandymount opens the first ever Repair Café today between 2pm and 5pm. They will have volunteer fixers available for computers, electronic devices, small appliances, lamps, small furniture and clothes. For whatever you need fixing, bring it to the café. Admission is free. The repair café is located at Christchurch Hall.
• The Vintage in Ringsend have some live music with the Spirit Riders. Gig starts at 10pm.
Sunday 2nd
• Some live Jazz is happening from 5.30pm in Searsons Public House on Baggot Street with Felim Gormley and the Zanzibar Jazz Quintet. It’s free in.
• Inject a little romance into your Sunday lunchtime with the wonderful Hibernian Orchestra live at the RDS in Ballsbridge. Concert starts at 3pm. Ticket price range from €5 – €15.
Monday 3rd
• O’Donoghue’s Bar on Merrion Row have an Irish Music Session tonight at 9pm. It’s free in.
Tuesday 04th
• Poet and radio broadcaster Eamonn Lynskey interviews musician, artist and poet who has featured in NewsFour, Martin A. Egan upstairs in The Twisted Pepper on Middle Abbey Street at 1.15pm today.
• Don’t forget the annual Pancake feast happens today too. Mothers and babies are invited to a special Pancake Tuesday Coffee Morning at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish on Merrion Road (after 10am Mass) in the Coffee Room (inside Church Porch).
